I had a fantastic experience on this fabulous well organised tour exploring the spectacular Cape Winelands. I have travelled many places all over the world, but nothing takes your breath away more than when you travel through the Cape winelands talking to the local farmers, tasting all the wonderful wine and taking in the magical views. We visited boutique wineries that typically I would have missed, and this is thanks to Richards wealth of wine knowledge that he kindly shared with me. Richard is a one of kind tour guide that has so much love and passion for his city and his country, I somehow ended up on a private tour with him, which worked especially well as we discovered we were from the same hometown. We had a lot to talk about sharing special personal stories and experiences, it was like being on a trip with a good friend. Thank you so much, Richard, for your amazing hospitality! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see everything Cape Town has to offer! I will recommend you to all my friends and family!

I had a great day on this wineland tour. Richard really knows a lot about wines and will take you to some really beautiful vineyards. The pairing of chocolate and wine was something I would never thought of doing myself. There's also a balance between tasting red and white wines, although focus is slightly more on the red wines. If you're willing to taste and try everything, I'm sure you will discover new things, just like I did.

I cannot recommend this experience enough! From the moment we booked, Richard was on hand to speak to if we had any questions or queries. Arranging pick up and times were easy and punctual. Richard’s knowledge is second to none, and we were taken to some really beautiful places. The wine was wonderful, as was the company. If you like wine and you’d like to learn more about it and how it’s made, definitely give this experience a go. Richard picks you up as your tour guide but by the end he is a friend you want for life. I could go on, but that would spoil it for the rest of you so don’t hesitate and book this experience, you will not regret it!

Brilliant from start to finish. Richard, along with being well-versed in the topic of wine, has a deep and rich knowledge of the area and it’s history which really helps bring the story of the region to life. He’s a captivating host that is easy to spend the day with, and has many an entertaining story to tell. We ended up sharing a beer together at the end of the day, watching the sun set in Camps Bay, which I think is testament to the quality of the day. The trip itself is a pretty unique experience as most wine trips only focus on one of the main wine regions, but we were fortunate enough to indulge in three: Stellenbosch, Franshoek, and Paarl. The vineyards that we visited were all beautifully unique and steeped in family tradition. All sitting within picturesque landscapes, framed by the mountains. I highly recommend this trip, not just for the wine, or the regions you visit, but because it’s an excellent day out that’s highly entertaining and you’re guaranteed to enjoy.

The experience with Richard was great, we had long conversations on varied topics and were lucky enough to be the only couple on the day. He was gracious enough to share a wealth of his knowledge on the topic of wine and we left with much more information than we were expecting which was a nice surprise. Richard was kind enough to share a lot of his background and we shared ours as well which made it feel like a trip with a friend. The boutique wineries we went to were off the typical path which was something we could not have done on our own. We had an awesome time and would definitely recommend trying this out if you are visiting Cape Town.
