What you'll do

We will discover the flavors and history of Mexican cuisine through learning about ingredients and how to make rich salsas.

If you have little to no experience in cooking, don't worry. With some insider tips from the chef, you will be surprised how accessible and simple Mexican street food can be to prepare!

By cooking different types of foods from different regions of the country you will get a better understanding of the uniqueness, and strong relation whit corn Mexican food have.

Every dish we prepare can be be vegetarian or vegan, just let us know! In the process you also discover how easy will be to recreate this dishes back home.

On the menu is:

tlacoyos
gorditas

After cooking we will sit at the table to enjoy the food that we made together, in the Mexican tradition of sharing. You'll have the option of either Mexican craft beer or mezcal to accompany the meal. Non-alcoholic options will also be available.

Excellent experience. I actually already had a class that taught salsas and tortillas,however this class gave me new knowledge and technique that worked better for me and some of the techniques provoked deeper thought and understanding of the food preparation and flavor considerations. Absolutely awesome class with a knowledgeable and enjoyable host. I had a great time and a fantastic meal. I learned the nuance between tortilla, tlacoyo, gordita, sopes, tlayuda, and others I think I would need a reminder to say haha. Also an important note about the type of flour I'll need when I get home, not just any mail flour will work! This alone saved me an exhausting and frustrating day for when I get home haha. If you can take this class, please do, even if you think you know how to make these things. 5 different salsas with notable difference and character. I loved it all. Don't miss it.

Arturo has a very well rounded personality !! He is really an expert on Mexican cooking ! the course process was amazing !! It’s very participative and at the end day you’ll free dinner , good conversation , and the bonus are his two amazing dogs !!! simply amazing!!! We loved our cooking experience with Arturo! We had so much fun prepping and cooking in his kitchen and learned a ton about all the various ways to make traditional salsa and tortillas. Arturo is a talented and knowledgable professional chef. We ended with a delicious meal on his rooftop overlooking the city! Loved this intimate small-group experience. Would highly recommend!

Our group spent an evening with Arturo learning to make salsas and tortillas, and it was so much fun! We got to learn more about Mexican culture and the ingredients, and really enjoyed the hands on process of rolling and cooking the tortillas. We really enjoyed this class! Arturo is very knowledgeable and gave many useful tips and tricks while we were preparing the food. We made a wide variety of salsas, and Arturo's instruction made everything seem easy. The class exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to others.
