What you'll do

Join our group experience as we sail around Baltimore Harbor and the Patapsco river (can be booked as a private experience as well). Do as much, or as little as you like. Take the helm, hoist and trim the sails, tack, jibe, or just sit back and enjoy the ride. We'll leave from Tindeco Wharf and sail out into the harbor. From there, we decide to sail toward the inner harbor or out past Fort McHenry, into the Patpsco river toward the Key bridge. This is a great opportunity to get more sailing time and develop your sailing skills under the watchful eye of a US Sailing Master Instructor Trainer. Never sailed before? No problem, during our time we'll teach you as much as you want. Just get away from it all on a relaxing sail? That not a problem either. Bring snacks and beverages to enjoy and just take in the breeze and enjoy the sights and sounds of sailing.

I am the founder and director of SeaAffinity, Inc, a Baltimore based non-profit that combines my two passions of sailing and helping people learn. My wife, Suzanne, and I learned to sail over 20 years ago, on small boats. Since then, we have owned and sailed close to 50 different boats of all sizes in the Chesapeake and the Caribbean, and delivered sailboats on the east coast. I am certified as a US Sailing Instructor, Instructor Trainer, and Master Instructor Trainer, and a member of US Sailing's National Faculty, the group that develops and writes US Sailing's training materials.

About the organization

SeaAffinity, Inc

SeaAffinity uses sailing and water related experiences to challenge youth and adults, including those impacted by disabilities, to develop life skills and realize their potential. Our focus is teaching STEM skills (math and science) to intercity middle school kids through partnerships with community organizations. Our hands-on program engages kids, and gets them excited about learning.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to SeaAffinity, Inc.
