What you'll do

This Experience runs from 09:30 AM - 16:30 PM

Gin o'clock! Our first stop takes us to the famed, artisan suburb of Woodstock and a distillery that celebrates the rich fruits of Cape Town’s natural resources. The use of indigenous local fynbos (The cape’s most prevalent plant species) coupled with a sheer passion for creating fine craft liquors results in a tasting experience to delight your taste buds.

We then head north toward the Stellenbosch mountains to discover a location with over 50 different gin tasting options. It’s an impressive set up and we’re not just talking about the selection. The team at Classic Cats Cars & Gin Bar take you through a three part tasting journey; neat, with garnish and then with SA's premium tonic.

Our final location is one of the real attractions of the region; Spice Route in Paarl. A number of lunch options are available on site. We suggest the La Grapperia Bistro; expansive views of the Paarl and Stellenbosch Mountains coupled with a selection of wood-fired pizzas, pastas, grills and more!

After lunch you'll be treated to the products of one of the pioneers of the gin industry in SA. The Wilderer Fynbos Gins laid the foundation for the use of fynbos in white spirits. The tasting consists of one neat taster, two unique mini G&T’s & one classic Gin cocktail.

A great day out tasting truly South African gins and ingredients :)

The Cape region is definitely known for it's fantastic wine; but if you're interested in Gin, this was definitely unique. Our guide was very passionate about the tour which made the day quite pleasurable. I tried some amazing gins, and got to better understand how the variations are unique to the Cape region and South Africa overall.

Ryan was our host and he was incredibly friendly, funny and knowledgeable. My boyfriend and I often travel to Cape Town for work but rarely get to enjoy all it has to offer. We had an amazing time in Paarl, the wine lands next to Stellenbosch and a gin distillery in Woodstock. All the gin spots were gorgeous, unique and informative. I definitely know that we would not have had the opportunity and know-how had we designed our own trip. Well worth it and really memorable. Thank you Ryan!

What an amazing experience. Very professional and timely , Very comfortable transport and very thoughtful snacks and water. All places we visited were top of the line and the lunch was out of this world. We loved it so much we booked another experience, and that how great it was. Blain and his partners know what they are doing and will recommend them in a heartbeat.
