What you'll do

Discover the delicious mom-and-pop shops of this local Brooklyn neighborhood and experience how food is the engine of our local ecosystem. Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill have a vibrant mix of small, locally-owned, and artisanal food shops unlike almost any other neighborhood in America.

We visit both old school haunts and new culinary entrepreneurs to experience an exciting menu of both traditional flavors and daring dishes. We stop by Italian and Middle Eastern shops that have long been the staple of the neighborhood, and explore the growing scene of cafes and restaurants specializing in New American cuisine. While we enjoy their delicacies, we learn about the neighborhood’s rich history and changing character.

From Italian pastry stores, coffee roasters, an historic Middle Eastern bakery, and a modern soda fountain, we'll dive deep into the authentic food culture. ALL FOOD TASTINGS INCLUDED!

I am an actor, food blogger, and tour guide who loves to explore the local side of a city. One of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC for food is the Brooklyn area of Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill. Along with my team, I want to share this under-the-radar local neighborhood with others through the food shops that make this one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city. We've been running other successful AirBnB experiences including Taste History in the Lower East Side and the New York Craft Cocktail Tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of local food shops. Well paced and interesting and we finished it full but not too full to move. Mary Hannah was a great guide. Would definitely recommend.

Sasha was proactive and welcoming from the start. His enthusiasm for the tour was infectious and we left having learnt a lot while thoroughly enjoying ourselves.

This was my first food tour and my friend and I were lucky enough to have Greg as our guide. He was funny, informative, and made the three hours go by quickly! We loved every stop we made (we were stuffed by the end of the tour!) and learned so much about the history of these specific neighborhoods in Brooklyn. It was a wonderful experience - thanks Greg!

My mom and I really enjoyed our walking tour on Thursday 10/31 with Sheli. She was super friendly, well informed , easy to chat with, and made efforts to personalize the experience for us. The places we stopped were all uniquely interesting, and the food samples were delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested.

-This is a sampling experience. Do not go hungry or expect more than that. Which is ok, just set your expectation -The person you book with is not your guide. This is a company and you will be with one of their employees wearing a company shirt. You will stick out like a sore thumb. -I cannot speak for every group only my experience. But I was in a group of 8 in places that were definitely not meant for that. I always felt out of place. -The guide was friendly, and UA d a basic level of knowledge, but it wasn’t something I could not have done myself after 5 minutes on google.

Greg was awesome. It was pouring down rain on the day of our tour but he did a great job of making sure the food and stories, not the rain, was the focus of the tour
