What you'll do

This delicious introduction to food and drinks from around Brazil is unlike any other. Over the course of 4-5 hours, we'll eat and drink our way across the most interesting parts of Rio that most visitors never get to see. We'll start in one of Rio's bustling street markets, where we'll taste exotic fruits and street food dishes. After that, we'll head to my favorite Portuguese restaurant in Lapa for a taste of old-school Brazil, where the waiters dress in white jackets, and serve the most delicious salt cod croquettes in town. From there, we'll wander toward Gloria, a beautiful neighborhood boasting some amazing street art and the famous Selarón Steps. We’ll then take a short ride to Flamengo, where we'll taste the uniquely delicious regional dishes, first from Northeastern Brazil and finally from the Amazon.
Other things to note: This is a walking tour so please dress comfortably. Although alcohol is offered, there are always non-alcoholic alternatives.

Great experience to taste different things and try delicious brazilian dishes. Tom was super helpful and he kindly explained everything from history, to ingredientes and he covered it all. We even stretched the time to visit a couple of more places. Tom really loves what he does and shares that love with you. Just amazing!!

I loved it! Avoid eating breakfast because you'll eat a lot! Vinicius is simply the best! I highly recommend this tour, it's a perfect way to get to know a unique part of Rio

Tom was fantastic! He made us feel like we were being shown around town by a friend and had great stories and detail about the foods we tried. He was also wonderfully accommodating with our two month old baby we brought in a carrier. I would highly recommend this for everyone!

great guy, great times, and great food. After being in Brazil for over a week getting good food and drinks we're hit or miss so on my last day we decided to do a food tour. Tom knew all the good spots and it's historical significance, despite the standoffish position of a member of my group, because of this I wish I could stay one more day. This just means I have to return

Tom's tour was definitely the highlight of the trip. He was engaging, knowledgeable and kept us talking the entire time. It felt like visiting an old friend who moved away. The selection of food was also fantastic, it let us see a side of Rio that a tourist don't normally get to see. Highly recommend Tom's tour!
