Since 2017, our open-air floral studio just off Abbot Kinney has been a sanctuary embodying the gritty, bohemian elegance of Venice. Filled with the energy of a working art space, it’s the ideal location to develop natural floral expression.
We’ll begin with an introduction to our floral design approach before helping you craft your own creative arrangement. You’ll leave with your own one-of-a-kind living sculpture, and a new perspective on working with nature.

The Unlikely Florist bridges the gap between fine art, performance, and floristry. Founded by New Zealand native Spencer Falls, our brand was born from a desire to break the rules of traditional arrangement. Spencer began by selling out of his VW bus on Abbot Kinney, and today our studio is celebrated for its sculptural, wild, and structural designs that prioritize movement and raw beauty over symmetry. We invite our guests to see the natural world through an artistic, uninhibited lens.
