An all-around wonderful experience that we would book again anytime and recommend without reservation! Nicolò took us, along with another couple, to several beautiful viewpoints in the area and shared a lot of exciting information about the region and its history. We were also particularly pleased that we met a very nice couple there – the great company made the evening even better. The picnic location was perfectly chosen to enjoy the sunset with a view of the Tuscan hills. The food and wine were excellent. Our only small suggestion for improvement: The field right in front of the location had been mowed and plowed shortly beforehand, which made the scenery seem a little less idyllic. An alternative location, depending on the condition of the fields, would therefore be a nice idea. Many thanks to Nicolò for the warm hospitality – for us, clearly 5 out of 5 stars!

We had an amazing experience with Roberto and his son Nicolo. They brought us to many different spots in the Val d'Orcia with beautiful views, often down bumpy dirt roads that we couldn't have managed in our rental car. The picnic spread was delicious and they gave us more food than we could finish. The best part of the tour was just talking with them- they are both very warm and friendly and it was fun hearing things about their life in Montepulciano as well as history, sights, etc. The next stop on our vacation was in Maremma and they were happy to talk about their own experience visiting this region and give us advice on things to see and do there. They also helped us take lots of memorable family photos during the tour, which was a really nice bonus on top of the whole experience. Strongly recommend this experience to everyone!

Roberto and his son Nicolo created an unforgettable experience for us in Val d’Orcia. They picked us up directly from our hotel and shared fascinating stories about the region, its history, local traditions, food, wine, and recommendations throughout the drive. It felt much more personal and authentic than a typical tour. They first took us to the fort in Radicofani with incredible panoramic views and also helped us take some beautiful photos there. After that, they brought us to a stunning private spot overlooking the Tuscan landscape, where they had prepared a beautiful apericena setup away from the crowds. The food and local wine were excellent. I was also planning to propose to my girlfriend during the apericena, and Roberto and Nicolo coordinated everything perfectly with my photographer to make the moment seamless and stress-free. Highly recommended, especially for couples or proposal plans in Tuscany. Truly a magical evening we’ll never forget.

If you are wondering what Airbnb experience really gives you the most value, in an authentic local, non over-touristy kind of way…. This is it. I can’t give this experience enough accolades. We were picked up by our hosts- a father and son local to the Val d’orcia and they drove us around many iconic spots in the valley that you wouldn’t know to see other wise- Roman ruins, medieval fortresses, monasteries built by the Medici…. Iconic Cyprus lines roads… etc etc. Not only did they share their home valley with us but they told us stories about their great grand parents… where they lived…. What they did during world war 2….. they showed us where they hunted the best boar… I’m getting in the weeds but the point is they were excited to show us their home and it showed. Of course the crown jewel was the amazing picnic they set up for us in a hill overlooking the Val d’orcia (which omg… a landscape hand painted by god). Amazing. They even took professional quality photos of us. 5 stars.
