What you'll do

The experience the will be held at the stables at Lundar Horse Breeding. It is fairly free form and more of a discussion than a lecture.
It starts with a brief history of the Icelandic horse. We will go over how it's bred, kept, when and how training starts, and the search for the five gaits.
We will also go over the various different competitions involving the Icelandic horse, along with how the horse is exported and what makes it so unique.

I have been a passionate horse breeder and a certified breeding judge for over 20 years. I have a BSc in agricultural science from Hvanneyri University. We have bred many first prize stallions of high quality over the years. My passion is to spread the knowledge and experience I've gathered over the years about the Icelandic horse, its breeding, and the horsemanship lifestyle in Iceland.
