What you'll do

We will meet at Stavsnäs Vinterhamn, the port from where the passenger ship to Sandhamn departs. After a 50 minutes boat ride, during which I will introduce you to some basic facts about the archipelago and you can enjoy the magnificent views, we end up at the port of Sandhamn. Here you will find the typical and picturesque town which is made up of old wooden houses, cramped together in a town lacking all kinds of patterns. I will guide you through the town, show you the pilot lookout, the Church and introduce you to the historical backgrounds of this place. We will also walk across the Island (some 2 km) to see it's nature and end up at popular beach of Troville. In summer you might consider bringing your swimsuit but also during the rest of the year the views over the open sea and the shipping that passes by is stunning! Before we return to the starting point with the passenger ship we will have a typical Swedish lunch at one of the oldest restaurants in the Stockholm area. With it's roots in the early 18th Century, "Sandhamns värdshus" definitely is an attraction by itself! After a couple of wonderful hours together we take the ship back to where we started.
Other things to note
Due to changing timetables of the archipelago ferries, please Always check the relevant times for the day with me when booking. Typically the whole experience will take approximately six hours.

I have been exploring the Stockholm archipelago for all my life. Since I was born on Värmdö, the biggest and most central of the archipelago islands I had a great starting point for all my exploring of my beloved homeland. There isn't much that I haven't seen and since I'm really interested in local history I certainly have a lot to tell you while I show you my personal gems and the most beautiful and picturesque spots that can be reached on a daytrip. If you really want to experience our stunning archipelago and get a deeper understanding for it, I'll be the right person to ask!
