Enjoy your kazarimaki sushi and chat about your experience with a cup of tea. Kazarimaki is known as Art Sushi Roll in English. Even Japanese people think this kind of sushi roll is difficult to make without special lessons. Maybe you’ve never seen it before, even if you are a foodie. You can find the same sushi patterns in on websites and in books, but it’s hard to copy from a photo. Of course, you can’t buy this sushi roll from any normal sushi shop or restaurant. But after this class, you can make it at home! Please come and join us in this hands-on class. You’ll be so happy because you can make it yourself and home and share the happiness with your friends!

Hi, I’m Aya, owner of SAKURA. I was born in Kyoto in 1967 and I still live in the center of town as teacher for various kind of Japanese traditional culture.I had 2000 or more guests from all over the world since I opened my classroom in the summer 2018. My husband is a descendant of a large trading family from the Edo period called Ito. His ancestor became the Shogun’s garden advisor and developed the Somei Yoshino variety of cherry blossom which is now the Japanese national flower. We are pleased to offer classes in Japanese home cooking, and more than 10 other kinds of cultural experience classes. My husband and I hold a number of teaching licences in Tea, Ikebana and Shodō so it’s possible to take all kinds of classes at the same time. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We are located on beside of Kawaramachi street,between Sanjo street and Oike street,opposite of Kawaramachi Catholic Church. You can locate us by searching for [SAKURA Experience Japanese Culture]. Our classroom is very cozy ,comfortable and good atmosphere.Wheel chairs and baby strollers accessible. We are friendly to disabled people,LGBT,Family,small children,and elderly people.

Any experience can be canceled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.
