For 31 years, I have been rescuing and caring for indigenous desert animals. My mother, a mentor, inspired me to pursue this path despite societal barriers. The refuge offers a natural habitat for rabbits, squirrels, roadrunners, coyotes, ravens, hawks, doves, songbirds, tortoises, and other migrating species. The refuge is also participating in a science project with the HeartMath Institute, monitoring the magnetic field of trees.
