What you'll do
Tucked away on the backroads of Fairbanks, you'll find us at our gorgeous log cabin nestled in the woods. On five acres of wooded property and connected to trails all around, we'll take you through the beautiful boreal forests of Fairbanks. You'll be guided by myself (Maliko), along with our four legged guides, Earl and Tango. Earl is what we call a sled dog drop out, he never really got the point of pulling a sled and became a house dog instead, though his dad still runs in the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest. Tango is a retired lead dog and loves spending her time gallivanting through the forests of Fairbanks. After our hike is over, we will welcome you to our Alaskan log cabin in the woods where we have a small garden and a chicken coop where our hens lay fresh eggs for us daily. A pond on our property is a favorite watering hole for our local moose population!

Dates for spring tours are up! If you don't see a date that works for you, feel free to send message, our calendar is flexible. My name is Maliko and I'll be your host and guide down some of our favorite local Fairbanks trails. For many years I was a tour guide and dog musher, taking people on adventures through untouched areas of Alaskan wilderness in the heart of winter. Growing up in Alaska I've gained a wide variety of knowledge about the flora and fauna of the boreal forest and will happily share my experiences with guests. We'll be going off the beaten path on beautiful boreal forest trails known mainly to those local to Fairbanks, and I'll keep guests entertained with wilderness know-how and arctic adventure stories.
Light snacks will be provided for guests on the hike and at our cabin.
We will have extra water available for guests. Fairbanks can be hot in the summer time and it is important to stay hydrated.

Where you'll be
Many of the trails in Fairbanks are not indicated on any map. Having a local's knowledge of the trails in Fairbanks will give guests the opportunity to see public use trails that are usually only used by those local to Fairbanks. Our hike will be approximately one hour and will show off flora and fauna, which your two legged guides can readily describe. This is a great way to see Fairbanks from an insider's perspective.
