Elaine is a responsive and gracious host. She tailored the experience to my specific interests, was a superb storyteller and was generous with both information and time.

Elaine is a very courteous guide. I learned a lot about the local community and got to know its past history as well. I'm impressed by the local sugar industry in particular. Best wishes to its hard-working farmers in the field. Thank you, Elaine 🙂

We had a great afternoon with Elaine and her son Luke — it felt like they were family friends showing us around! The tour had a good mix of history, local gossip, and fun facts (with a merienda stop along the way.)

We are grateful to Ms. Elaine for facilitating such tour. It was a meaningful 4-hour-tour because of the stories shared about each place that we explored. It was also nice to listen from other members of the tour about their travel experiences in other places. It was a fun and insightful experience. Thank you Ms. Elaine and also to your son who can definitely take great photos!

If you are thinking of taking this experience - DO IT! This trip made my Bacolod experience soooo much better! She does not go for the typical sites and activities, but rather goes for the things that vistors or even local tours miss out on. Very accomodating and caring + very flexible!

Elaine (and Luke, her son,) were awesome hosts bec of the ff:
(a) puts the guests at the center of the experience
- they dont pressure us to speed up taking photos and exploring.
- they went off itinerary so we could visit a place (Marit's Piyaya) which we really wanted to go
- Elaine wont admit but she orchestrated that we get a chance to meet the tour guide in The Ruins which we hope to meet
(b) Curates the experience that makes you understand the story of Bacolod
- Elaine picked places that highlighted the sugar tales theme
- we met with awesome passionate people who shared their stories abt Bacolod. Our fave was sir Boy and kuya Roger
(c) Thoughtfulness add ons to the experience.
- appreciate the journal Elaine shared to us so we can document our own Bacolod experience
- it also has a guide for a possible food trip w/c can just do on our own
Overall, these things made our Bacolod a wondeful exprience! Shout out also to Luke for being an awesome photographer! 😁
