What you'll do

NOTICE: If your travel date isn't on the calendar, please contact me directly to arrange a booking.

Escape with me to California’s cinematic Sonoma County and beyond on a full-day adventure from San Francisco! Beginning with a pickup at a cafe outside San Francisco’s City Hall and a stop at George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic facility in The Presidio, we’ll head across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sonoma County.

There, we’ll visit filming locations from over 25 movies past and present while watching clips in our comfortable, customized 6 passenger van or SUV. We’ll visit sites from Temple of Doom, The Right Stuff, Tucker, Scream, Bottle Shock, Basic Instinct, Peggy Sue Got Married, American Graffiti, and MANY more.

I’ll give you fun behind the scenes trivia, and the inside scoop on current local film productions. Along the way, we’ll stop for a wine tasting at Viansa Sonoma or Kunde Winery, featured in the Alan Rickman film Bottle Shock.

After a creekside patio lunch at Jack London Saloon in Glen Ellen (included in price), our premiere destination is Coppola Vineyard in Geyserville, where you’ll receive a personal tour of Francis Ford Coppola’s movie memorabilia collection.

Returning to San Francisco, we’ll stop in downtown Petaluma for an American Graffiti themed treat! Contact me for groups larger than 5.

Wylie is just an outstanding guide. I found him to be knowledgeable, kind, open, enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in my comfort. I have to say how impressed I am by the thought and preparation he has invested in offering specific film clips at precise moments in time with when we are seeing the set, prop or location of a scene in a movie. The timing was just absolutely fantastic. By the end of day, I felt like I had learned so much and made a friend in the process. This experience is for people who love film and wine, but it’s just as great for people who want to learn the area and get a peak at the gorgeous landscapes, especially in Sonoma. Wow. I highly recommend!

Wylie’s tour was both interesting and fun. Since me and the person I was on the tour with were not familiar with the area, he made sure to tie in the area we were touring, cinematics, and wine. Personally, I would have liked to try more wine, as we had one drink + one flight while touring 2 vineyards- but that’s just my personal preference. He went out of his way to bring in little unexpected extras and insight and we appreciated that. Wylie was also a safe driver, knowledgeable, and a great tour guide . Overall, the tour was a super value and a must while visiting the SF area!

Kylie's experiences is a must-do for movie fans and trivia-tors. Wylie's knowledge about movie trivia in Northern California is impressive, his recommendations are impartial, his demeanor is impeccable. The fact that the wine and food is excellent, the drive is pleasant and Sonoma pretty breath-taking are nice bonuses!

I highly recommend this wonderful tour of Napa and Sonoma. I signed up for the wine aspect and that because it was one of the few that departed from SF. It was so much more. The movie storytelling was great and perfectly timed as we drove through the areas. I have lived in SF for 4 years and saw many places I did not know about. Locals and visitors alike would love this tour. Wylie is a fantastic guide. I must watch some more films....

By far one of the best AirBnB experiences ever. Wylie’s attention to detail was unprecedented. His timing, his content, and the entire day was extremely well thought out. And after a full day with Wylie it felt like we were friends. Really didn’t want it to end. I did this for my birthday and it was the highlight of my day weekend. Thank you for sharing everything Wylie!

This experience was truly a remarkable one. I took my brother and sister in law on this experience so it was just the 3 of us with Wylie, a private tour! Wylie was early (something I really appreciate in a host) and waited patiently for us to arrive at the cafe. Right off the bat he was personable and easy to talk to. Considering we were going to be spending the entire day together I immediately felt at ease and relaxed right as we took off for our adventure. Wylie's movie clips and the timing on them was really perfect as we drove through Marin County into Sonoma. Wine = excellent but Wylie's company was also really nice. I've been on tours before where I want the person to drive and tell me stuff but then when I get to the place I want to explore on my own and not have them hover over me. This was different in that Wylie really vibed with us and having him there with us at the winery was like hanging out with your friend who also just happens to have a ton of knowledge and is freely sharing it with you. Lunch was at a really cute spot too, the burgers looked awesome but I went with the chicken pesto sandwich. Fries are awesome: do not skip the fries. I highly recommend this tour. Honestly you could have lived in a cave for your entire life and be like "hey ive never seen a single film in my entire life, what is a film", and this tour is STILL really fun because of the hidden gems he takes you to, the wine, and the company. Wylie is funny and charming in a way that is NOT pretentious or snobby as some film people can come across, and I really appreciated that he never tried to mansplain anything to me and was really open and a good sport with some of the more inane questions I had. We all played a movie trivia card game on the way back to SF and it felt like just being on a road trip with someone you've known forever. To feel that comfortable with someone that fast is really hard to do especially with three different personalities but he is just a natural at it! My brother and his wife have been in the bay foreverrrrr and loved the tour so this is for bay area natives as well as people who are visiting. Even if you have grown up here I guarantee you'll learn something new and go to places you've never been. As someone who has only been up here for a year it was truly sensational. Wylie is rad. 5 stars!!!
