What you'll do
When you arrive, we will get you situated and go over basic health and safety. How to navigate around the studio, get acquainted with the tools, etc. We will run you through a quick demonstration: the goal is to create a paperweight - in a heart shape or otherwise! After the demo, you get to jump right in! You will get instruction and guidance that is 100% tailored to your comfort level. On top of the excitement of creating your very own glass piece, we will have fun music playing, plenty of water and wine to drink and a small spread of fresh Italian meats and cheeses to keep your energy levels up and to taste a bit of what this fruitful region has to offer. You will spend a total of two hours with us in the studio learning a rare skill and experiencing an ancient practice. The pieces you make that evening are put away into a kiln to slowly cool overnight and will be ready for pick up the next day. What better way to experience Niagara Falls then to hang out in an artists' studio - one of the truly unique things that this city has to offer!
Welcome to Studio Vine Glass! My husband, Steven Woodruff and myself, Claire Anderson, both graduates of the Sheridan College Glass program renovated a unique vintage mechanic shop into our glassblowing studio and gallery. Our years of experience creating our original product line and artwork has inspired us to share our knowledge and passion for the medium. Come play with this ancient and elusive material with fully qualified instructors. We're energetic and fun and will make sure you go home with a handmade piece. You can check out our work at www.studiovine.ca
Fresh Italian meats, cheeses and in-season fruits will be provided for munchies
A bottle of VQA wine to drink
We provide the glassblowing studio and all of the tools!

Where you'll be
You will spend your time in an old mechanic shop that we renovated into our glass art studio and gallery. 'Industrial chique' is how we describe it - near the tourist district but a little tucked away. An authentic gem with a mural painted onto the front of our building and many beautifully crafted pieces made by young and local artists/entrepreneurs!
