What you'll do

Your countryside jeep tour will begin by picking up from your accommodation, then our guide will take a short introduction of the tour highlights today.

You will have a great chance to visit The War Museum in Siem Reap is the biggest War Museum in Cambodia, which has a unique collection of war machines have even seen action during World War II. Among the collection there are also many sorts of landmines and rare photographs from the defined period of time in Cambodia.

Then you will get a quick tour to explore the Buddhist temple in the village in order to understand the Buddhism practice of Cambodian and get a spiritual blessing by monk, and listen to the Khmer fortune telling.

Afterwards, we take through the tranquil village, past rice paddies, gardens and ponds and watch as the local farmers cultivate, care for and harvest their produce. The following drive, through villages and dirt roads, makes for many photo-perfect opportunities.

Next, We will take a visit to the makers of bamboo rice cakes. Find out more about the processes involved in the making of this special countryside delicacy and of course you’re welcome to try.

From here, we will continue to visit a local family who made the basket as you will spend the next portion of the tour learning to make some sorts of things with your hands.

After all that crawling, you will appreciate a Cambodian style lunch.
Other things to note
- If you have any specific food requirements (vegetarian, vegan, food allergies), please advice us in advance.

This was an amazing experience! Both of our guides were very friendly and comforting, they really showed us the country side of Cambodia, and was truly a experience which no foreigner can experience alone.

Nice break from the city center of Siem Reap! Was a nice way to spend the day after touring Angkor Wat and see what the countryside looks like compared to the city. Highlight was seeing some buffalo as we drove around.

We had a great time on the open air Jeep tour - it was an experience we never could have done on our own! Our guides were Kim and Mon (forgive me for the spelling!) and they were both very sweet. It was so great to get out of the city and really see how families live in the countryside. The roads, the shops, the homes, the kids riding (giant!) bikes home from school. I'll remember it forever. The War Museum was also incredibly eye opening and important to see. This was a fun opportunity to do something a little different and not feel like such a tourist since they take you around to so many "local" spots. The restaurant for lunch was also so pretty and an unforgettable scene (you will literally not find this place unless you are with a local - which is why we loved it even more!). Thanks again to our awesome guides! It was a great way to kick off our time in Cambodia.

What a terrific, personal day! It was just me and the tour team showing me their community in Siem Reap. Folks of course need to do a temple tour too, but to really get a sense for the people of Siem Reap today, this is a fabulous opportunity.
