Last year my company was proudly awarded the San Francisco Legacy Business status as the first and ONLY tour company celebrating "30" years of walking with Pride! Recognized as a longstanding, community-servicing business and a valuable cultural asset to the City and County of San Francisco. Wow! My predecessor Trevor Hailey began the tour in 1989 and became an icon until she retired in 2005. Being a travel professional and Castro resident, I had purchased Cruisin' the Castro Walking Tours, am the sole owner/operator and serve as an Emeritus Board Member for the Rainbow Honor Walk too. I've also had the pleasure of participating in the movies "Milk" and "When We Rise"! My focus is to bring education and awareness in regards to LGBTQ culture, equality and achieving civil rights.

Un tour fascinant de ce haut lieu où la lutte pour les droits de l'homme et les droits civiques perdure. Un must.

It was an enjoyable and educational walk. I gained a deeper understanding of SF's LGBTQ culture and history, and also of the Castro neighborhood. I've come to appreciate the city more. Kathy was welcoming, friendly, and attentive to every single guest in the group. She is involved in the community and was able to share with us insider stories and perspective. I'd recommend it to visitors or locals.

Kathy is proud of what she does, and we could feel it walking with her. The tour was more than a fun tourism event, it was inspiring and educational. There are stories about this community that I'll never learn without Kathy. She even brought materials to teach us about the community. I definitely recommend it!

We loved our tour of the Castro with Kathy. She is sweet, fun and easy-going. The tour was the perfect way to know more about the area, Harvey Milk and the battle for LGBTQ+ rights (or as Kathy tastefully pointed out GSD - Gender and Sexual Diversities rights).
