Shimaguchi Sensei and his team were so passionate about spreading their Samurai spirit. I had a fun morning with them watching their demonstrations, learning various sword movements, shooting my own video, and holding a real katana sword. Overall and unforgettable experience!

This was truly a one of a kind experience! I loved that we got to see Shimaguchi sensei and his crew perform and then we got to do the same! Everyone was so passionate about spreading the samurai spirit. I also appreciate that everyone was so patient to first timer like myself. 12/10 would recommend!

Having the chance to experience such a wonderful art was beyond impressive. Not only I learned more about the art of Samurai but also I got to learn a few moves. The whole experience is a beautiful part of the Japanese culture. Thank you so much!

It was a unique and premium experience!
I recommend it very much for those who want to take their trip to Japan to the next level. The sword master Mr. Shimaguchi Tetsuro was extremely polite and kind. The choreographies were very powerful and touching, I felt very emotional. I really love the videos and photos that the crew took from me and my friends wearing samurai traditional clothes and training with katana! I felt like I was in a real movie set!
In the end we were able to touch real katana master pieces and we were surprised with very special gifts.
The event site was a beautiful temple and we were also able to watch a private ceremony. I really felt like a VIP. Thank you very much for the unforgettable experience!

Where we’ll meet

As a renowned Japanese samurai sword artist and founder of the performance group Kamui, I gained acclaim as both an actor and sword fight choreographer for my work in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: Vol. 1. I developed Kengido, which merges swordsmanship with the samurai's spiritual and artistic traditions, to allow participants to embody the samurai spirit.
