About your host

I’m a Berliner and a born-and-bred culture-vulture and fashionista. I’m a core part of the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week team, write for independent magazines and am a part-time stylist on photo shoots. I know the independent fashion scene inside out and am obsessed with the city’s (sub) cultural history. I love sharing my knowledge and can also give pointers on the techno scene here.

What we’ll do

Let’s shop till we drop in Berlin’s hottest independent fashion spots! Berlin has its own unique style and many talented independent designers have set up their own labels here, while the vintage stores are retro heaven. Together we’ll check out 3 key locales. We’ll meet in Friedrichshain at my favourite vintage store before visiting Berlin’s coolest boutique to chat with Anna, the proprietor…

What else you should know

Wear comfortable shoes as we’ll be on foot. You will also need to buy a U-Bahn ticket (available at the station). If you plan to shop, it’s wise to bring cash as many stores don’t take credit cards.

What to bring

Train ticket
bit of cash for food, drinks and garments you might want to buy (many places don't accept credit/ec card)

Where you'll be

We’ll meet in Friedrichshain, just east of Berlin’s centre, before going to Kreuzberg, famous for its anything-goes attitude. We’ll finish up in Neukölln, still within easy reach of central Berlin. I’ll show you the indie fashion sights and you’ll have access to studios and designers’ private rooms
