What you'll do
In this experience you can enjoy traditional Japanese confectionery sweets and Dorayaki sweets and Matcha.
First of all, I will demonstrate and make a sample fresh confectionery, and then teach them how to make them and make several fresh confections.
Next, I will demonstrate "Dorayaki" and teach you how to make it with reference to the sample and make several "Dorayaki".
After that, you will be asked to put the finished "Namagashi" and "Dorayaki" in our original souvenir bag and take it home. * We will add tea from a PET bottle.
The confectionery changes every month to "Nerikiri" or "Daifuku" depending on the season. Please contact us at the time of booking.
Daifuku of the season is Daifuku of “strawberry・raw chocolate” in winter ~ spring, summer only “pineapple・grapes・sweet Mandarin” autumn ~ year-end “chestnut”.
Other things to note
If you would like to take a picture please bring a camera or a smartphone.
In addition, please inform us of food allergies in advance, some of which can correspond to confectionery.
For the convenience of preparation, please make a reservation one days before the implementation date.
You can enjoy even if you do not speak Japanese, the host uses a multilingual translater.

I am Takanori Kanazawa.
Founded in 1911 · It is the 4th generation of Kanazawa Juouken which provides "taste and tradition" which was established in 1911 and was handed over in 109 years.
After I graduated from a Japanese confectionery vocational school and acquired the certificate of confectionery hygienist, I practiced for 11 years at a long-established Japanese confectionery store in Kanagawa prefecture · Aichi prefecture. In the past 25 years as a cafeterian craftsman, I came back to my family's Kanazawa Juouken and continued to make Japanese sweets and pastries for 13 years, focusing on the succession of traditional taste and development of new products.
The creed as the fourth generation is "Japanese sweets of my hometown keeping watching continuously”.
Experience venue is 5 minutes from Koyaguchi Sta JR Wakayama line.
If you are in the distance, there is a guest house around JR Koyaguchi Station.
Auxiliary host Genichiro will support translation.

Absolutely recommend!! It was very fun to take part in something I've never done before and Takanori's warmth and personality made me comfortable with the process. I felt a little nervous about not messing up the cooking, but he put me at ease! It was a wonderful experience and we had many laughs. Plus the dorayaki and daifuku were delicious!!!

What can I say about Takanori-san's dorayaki cooking and daifuku making experience. Best Airbnb experience I've ever had. I got so much value from learning from Takanori-san and everyone was so friendly. There was a very nice translator too so communication isn't a problem. It is a must-do experience and can only get more popular (they are relatively new to doing these experiences but highly qualified) thank you so much everybody!
