What you'll do

◢ In just couple of hours you will discover why those who had already been to Siena often say "Siena? I looove Siena!" Walking through Siena's thriving historic center, with redbrick lanes cascading every which way, you will enjoy Italy's best medieval city experience.
◢ You will discover Siena's essence wandering in narrow streets lined with colorful flags, personalized lamps, and iron rings to "park" the horses. Take time to savor the first European city to eliminate automobile traffic from its main square (1966).
◢ On 3 hours Slow-Motion Emotional Cruising you shall admire Siena's must-see beauty, with Special Touch details that, on one's own, may be easy to dismiss.
◢ We start our quest in Piazza Salimbeni (next to the historical head office of venerable Monte dei Paschi, the oldest bank in the world still in business). Our journey will take us on Saint Catherine of Siena very footsteps, from her parents' house to the most decorated Cathedral in Italy. We check on Piazza del Campo, the beating heart of the city. We take the ancient Via Francigena pilgrimage route on Banchi di Sopra, home to medieval moneylenders, returning to Piazza Salimbeni.

I’m MIHAELA JIANU, ex-corporate employee, national tour guide in Romania. I came to Siena for a sabbatical year and now... I live here! As Italian speaker I "soaked" myself in the most particular Tuscan experiences: fresh sensible curious "foreigner" soul can see details residents might miss. I’m always eager to share my Emotional Perspective, Love for funny local anecdotes in a mix of history and art enjoyed MeterByMeter. No rush, but SlowMotion, like in a city intimate relationship. After these unique unforgettable tours, you’ll feel Siena as: Time Wanderess https://bit.ly/2TGWR8X A presto!

We start our quest in Piazza Salimbeni (the historical HO of Monte dei Paschi, the oldest still active bank in the world). Nous avons passé 3h avec Mihaela. Elle s’est assurée que nous comprenions bien ses explications. Elle a su partager ses connaissances sur la ville avec passion. Nous n’avons pas vu le temps passer. Nous recommandons vivement Mihaela.

Highly recommend! Mihaela was super friendly and informative. She told lots of details about History, Architecture and Culture, guided professionally through Siena and to hidden places. Many thanks again!

Michaela is a friendly guide - you get a very thorough story of the history of Siena from the 10th century onwards. Fascinating but slightly too detailed for me.

This tour was ok. To be honest, you can get the same information/route from a good guidebook (in fact, we did this later in the day). The guide was very nice, but I would not take this tour again, you'd be better served doing a self-guided tour.

I really enjoyed my experience with Mihaela. As it is during the pandemic, I was the only member of the tour, and she was very accommodating about finding the right schedule for me and keeping us both safe. Although living in Tuscany for a bit over a year this was my first visit to Siena and I feel that I learned a lot about the history of the city and Tuscany as well. Mihaela was full of information about the history of Siena with enthralling detail. I rarely had to ask questions as she was very thorough. It’s clear that she has a passion for the city and relayed that enthusiasm really well. Thanks to her I very much look forward to returning!

Ottimo giro leggermente funestato dalla pioggia ma la guida è rimasta dedicata e concentrata. Bello vedere una ragazza straniera così innamorata della nostra bella italia e ha acquisto un così buona conoscenza della nostra lingua
