What you'll do

This walk starts at 10AM and ends around 2PM. Escape into nature and fresh air! Enjoy the quiet trails and footpaths of Lands End. We'll follow the wind to the wild northwest coast of San Francisco, where around every turn you're treated to world-class views of the Marin Headlands and the Golden Gate Bridge. I love this loop trail fronting the rugged, surf-lashed coastline for its natural and truly remote feeling, and its abundant wildlife. I'll share insights about the natural habitat of magical places like Sutro Baths that were the center of community in past. As we continue along, we'll take time to reflect on nature's beauty and San Francisco's rich landscape with a picnic stop on Mile Rock Beach or on the grounds of the elegant Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park! To me, this is the perfect place to have a true San Francisco locals experience.

Is the date you want not available or fully booked? Please contact me and we might be able to accommodate you. You can reach me via Airbnb direct message or by e-mail at sanfranciscocoastwalk@gmail.com.

This refreshing walk is also ideal for corporate groups and team building outings and can be customized especially for your group!
Other things to note
Meet at 10:30AM at the Lands End Lookout Visitor Center. Public bus transportation from downtown SF is available but the best way to get there is by Uber or Lyft.

I'm a SF native and the co-founder of a nature walking tour company, Coastal Walkers. San Francisco Bay's natural coastline is my passion and I believe the best way to enjoy it is on foot. On this refreshing 5.5 mile-long walk, we'll explore Lands End, one of San Francisco's most iconic parklands set high above the northwest coast of the city, with views of the Pacific Ocean, Golden Gate coast and beautiful beaches, one of which we visit during the walk.

Note: If the walk is not on the calendar or fully booked, please contact me and we might be able to accommodate you. Great for team outings too!

Ben was absolutely phenomenal at helping me go to all the right locations on my land end tour. I would highly recommend this to anybody that really wants to get the whole 9yard experience when traveling to San Francisco or wanting an experience that they will remember.

I have walked around Lands End on my own but never would have learned the history and went hidden places on my own. This tour brought this area real life and personalization to me.

Ben was a fantastic hiking guide! He was very accommodating to our schedule which I really appreciated. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and the hiking route we took I never would have figured out on my own. At many locations he shared history and insight to the geography and landmarks. Ben was fun to talk to as well. We highly recommend this experience!

My guide for the Land's End hike was Greg, Ben's partner in the company. He grew up in nearby Marin county and has been hiking for quite a long time, so he had many stories of how things were then and now. He provided very interesting commentary on the various places we went to -- ruins of Sutro Baths, the hiking trail that goes to the Land's End labyrinth and all the way to Mile Rock Beach, the lighthouse, etc. And we got to exchanging stories about ourselves. The hike wasn't particularly strenuous, save for the flight of stairs up and down Mile Rock beach. Overall, a fun physically energizing way to spend a few hours, taking in the nature and the wonderful views of the Golden Gate bridge, and the windy, balmy weather as well.
