Our family (including two grandparents and two kids aged 10 and 14) had a wonderful tour with Ben! He's so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local woods and trees; it was an utter delight. We learned a ton and saw such incredible natural beauty in the woods.
I'd definitely recommend this as a special experience of the area that complements more city-focused activities.

We very much enjoyed this experience, especially when led by a knowledgeable local guide like Ben, as he made the history and some hidden trails feel authentic and personal. We discovered many nature wonders just 25 minutes from the city of San Francisco... it also grounded us on thinking on how these ancient forests were there before any of our known human history.

Our guide was informative and a great representative of Mill Valley and Muir Woods. I enjoy being out in nature and learning about the redwoods and the scenery was awesome.
My fiance and I enjoyed this small group activity while vacationing in San Francisco.
Please express our appreciation to our guide, Ben Davidson. We will carry a wonderful memory back with us to Minnesota.

I grew up near Muir Woods in Mill Valley. After graduating from Williams College, I worked as a staff travel writer at Sunset and as a photographer at Backroads. Years later, I founded Coastal Walkers, a nature walking company. My routes are peaceful and uncrowded, perfect for experiencing northern California's natural beauty. I also offer other Marin walks, including a Redwoods Nature Art Walk: airbnb.com/x/botanicalprints. Please join me on this magical walking journey into the Redwoods.
