What you'll do

Guests will be collected from their accommodation in the Port Elizabeth or Colchester area at 09h00 and drop-off is at approximately 16h00. Transport is in a luxury, air-conditioned Toyota Fortuner. The Park is a 45 min trip to the Southern Gate at Colchester. After sign in and entry payment (included in price rate), we drive about 2 hours searching for wildlife, which can include Buffalo and Lion as well as the Elephants and a variety of Antelope, to a picnic spot for snacks and refreshments. Along the way we will talk of the history of the Park and give information on the various animals or birds we will see. Time will be spent at various waterholes allowing plenty of photographic opportunities.
After the break at the picnic site, we continue game-viewing until we reach the Addo main camp where there is a popular waterhole in front of the shop, selling African curios, and restaurant as well as an educational centre. If time allows, we will head back to the same entrance that we entered allowing further encounters with the various animals along the way and head back to Port Elizabeth.

I am a passionate certified freelance guide for the Addo Elephant National Park and love showing off all it has to offer. I developed a great love for the Elephants and the huge variety of other wild animals in the Park after living near to the Northern gate in the Sundays River Valley for 13 years. I specialize in private tours for 2 or 3 individuals on the Day Safari, in air-conditioned, comfortable off-road vehicles.

The experience with Debbie was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Debbie was very friendly and we got to know each other throughout the day. The drive around Addo was absolutely stunning. Even tho you can drive on your own, I do not regret going with Debbie as she has so much knowledge it made the experience 10x better. She knew the best loops to take and she made sure I could see as many animals as possible whilst teaching me more about them ! I got extremely lucky to see so many elephants, pigs , zebras, antelopes , bulls and even two lions sleeping in the bushes aka flat cats ;) ! We had a great little morning coffee and then afternoon picnic. Again, even tho it is something you can do by yourself, I would really recommend anyone to go on the tour with Debbie to have the greatest experience in their life ! Her friendliness and knowledge will guarantee you an amazinf day !

A truly amazing experience. Debbie's tour of Addo Elephant National Park was perfect. We saw so many animals in the wild - elephants, lions, african secretaries (yes, I know!) and many more. Excellent host. Great food. Wonderful vehicle. Most certainly recommended.
