What you'll do
Guests will be welcomed at Morgado do Quintão for a walk around the estate to observe the vineyards and learn about the local grape varieties by Duarte, Marianne or I. Under the 2.000 year-old olive tree the conversation will continue around wine, food, the history of the Algarve and... wine! We'll taste our current range of wines with some home-made "petiscos", while learning about the local wine culture. We'll provide some guidance on other activities in the area related to wine & food. Guests may purchase wine to take home at a discounted rate.
I'm Filipe Caldas de Vasconcellos and I run Morgado do Quintão, our family estate, founded by my 5th grandfather, the count of Silves. We've been producing grapes for generations and have only recently started making wine. It's a big adventure the team & I enjoy sharing with our guests, especially Duarte, our resident manager.
