The tour was very enjoyable and an insightful exploration of the history and evolution of the saloons and cocktail bars of San Francisco. Intriguing tales of the old West days of San Francisco being a gold miner’s and sailor’s playground of dance halls, saloons and other places for “recreation.” The tour walks through the lower financial district and ascends to the Barbary Coast area adjacent to Chinatown and North Beach - it’s an easygoing walk with several resting points. The tour guide is lively and informative and the tour concluded with a sampling of one of San Francisco’s native cocktails in a nostalgic saloon. Overall the tour was nicely organized, very intriguing and suitable for adults 21+

I have lived in SF for more than a year and this tour has absolutely changed my view of the city — loving it more than I ever did before. Great mix of learning and entertainment. A total must if you are into history and/or like to go out for drinks :)

Camper is a very entertaining and educational host! We thoroughly enjoyed his tour of the spaces and places relevant to San Francisco's bars and watering holes of days gone by. We especially loved having a drink that was invented by a colorful figure in SF's past at one of the last saloons left dating back to the late 19th century! We highly recommend this fun and interesting experience!
