What you'll do
Hi! I have conducted this tour for years with Japanese people, though “Takatori” area is not yet known to visitors from the world, with less English information availability. I am one of the very few English-speaking pro guides with my archeological background and sake tasting experience, plus 20 years’ local life frequenting this area. For example, I do my original simulative guiding to let guests feel the difficulty to attack the castle imagining 14c.feudal lord who made this castle unreachable. Many carved stone figures around the mountain is also gorgeous, but with my anecdote, guests will also feel spiritual at such places! There are more hidden gem spots for breathtaking views of my own recommendation in my course setting. My relationship with the castle town+region as well as my sake tasting experience will surely help guests encounter nice memorable souvenirs, find favorite sake and savor nice Bento lunchbox. Climbing (Walking only) does not require high skill or experience. Of course I will take care of safety as a pro mountain guide, and can walk in any speed depending on your physical skill.
I am a professional climbing guide and spend my life time longer being around mountains! In this course, during the trekking the most ancient area of Japan, “Takatori“ area (Middle Nara), you can enjoy my interesting stories about historic ruins and Japanese history as my major was archaeology in my college days. As I am a local living in Nara, I am sure you can enjoy my refined stories and walking course arrangements as well as feel safety with my licensed pro-guiding skill for climbing! Of course, chatting about Japanese culture, eating, Ghibli is welcome!
