What you'll do

On arrival, you will be greeted with a glass of wine or soft drink as well as some appetizers. You will then be given a background of the foods of The Bahamas and why they are considered a staple in the society. We will then discuss the best ingredients for each dish. Then you will be given an opportunity to get involved in the preparation and ultimately the cooking, all the while tasting and sampling as the meal is prepared. While the meal cooks, you will be given a quick guide on table etiquette and how to set a good table; the right music selection for meals or you might just be given a paint brush and told to paint something while the meal is completed. Finally, you will feast on your handiwork.

Meet your host, Dr. Bridgette

Host on Airbnb since 2019
  • Identity verified
Before obtaining my academic degrees, I got a degree in Hotel Management. A big part of that degree was learning how to cook various meals. But most of all, it taught me how to cook and bake Bahamian dishes. I would love to teach you how to make simple but delicious Bahamian dishes in five to ten minutes, even if you are on a diet.
