We are 2 people who came to our senses and left Toronto in 2007 for a place in the country. In 2009 we brought home 4 impossibly cute Nigerian Dwarf Goats and now we are one of the largest breeders in the country. We give workshops on milking, making cheese and much more. We've birthed more than 180 baby goat on our farm and have helped many people start their own herds. But the Haute Goat Shmurgle was developed so that people could meet, cuddle (Shmurgle) and learn more about these completely joyful animals. Two years ago we brought home 7 adorable alpacas and now we offer Alpaca encounters.

This was such a fun experience, we would definitely go back to also experience the goats or just walk the trails (which they encourage!). We also had a delicious lunch at their café, it was all around an amazing time!

The activity itself wasn't very enjoyable. The hike felt very short and easy and it was more of a walk than it was a hike. We just went in a circle around the corn farm. My wife didn't enjoy it either and she couldn't wait for it to be over. We got Feather the alpaca for the hike, and all we heard along the hike was how she's bossy and doesn't like people petting her. She wasn't friendly and she would get ready to spit as soon as I looked at her funny. We paid a good amount of money for this walk, not to mention the long drive, not sure why we were given Feather if she's not friendly. There were a dozen other alpacas to accompany us instead. If the reason was that the leader of the pack needed to be on the hike, then the tour guide should've walked Feather so we can get one of the other friendlier alpacas. I think we only walked for 30-40 minutes out of the total 1.5 hrs of the activity (granted, we were 15 minutes late). Lindsay was very friendly though and she knew her stuff. It just seemed like it wasn't a very engaging activity and not well planned compared to the other activities at the farm - I mean the Schmurgle was absolutely a ton of fun.

We had never seen Alpacas before so this was a unique experience. They were a bit stubborn at first and took some time to get used to, but all went well otherwise. It was a good trip. Would recommend!

We had such a memorable and wonderful experience! The farm visitors and workers wore masks and we had our temperature checked at the entrance so I didn't feel concerned about corona at any point. We had the pleasure of having the guide all to ourselves so the walk was very personalized. The entire alpaca herd had such different personalities and we got to learn about taking care of the alpacas and the history of the farm. It was a hot day so we even got to give them a shower with a hose! At the end we enjoyed incredibly delicious goat milk ice cream at the cafe and petted the friendliest baby goats. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone.
