What you'll do
This is a half day walk to experience the real Manado. I’ll take you to enjoy the city, see it from our perspectives, and get to know our community. I only host a maximum of 6 people at a time so we can have a good talk during the walk.
We’ll meet at Sentrum Church, the oldest church in town and home to a World War II Monument. From here, we’ll walk to a local bakery where you can have fresh-home baked bread or vegetable porridge called Tinutuan.
After breakfast, we’ll stroll around Chinatown and visit its oldest temple.
Then we’ll continue to the biggest wet market in Manado. You can find fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and many more. It’s a good chance to test your bargaining skills.
Let’s take a horse-cart to the melting pot of Manado, even before World War I. This is the place to go if you only have an hour and wanna meet all ethnic groups of North Sulawesi. We’ll have lunch here for the vibes and tasty food of its community.
If you don’t see your preferred date on the schedule, please feel free to send me a request.
