What you'll do
We propose a beer menu with 6 different delicious beers each representing a different beer style. We serve our beers one by one in 15 cl small glasses. This way we let our guests enjoy and discuss the extensive variety of flavours and scents that characterize our Belgian beers. In between we give you a lot of background information concerning Bruges, the history of Bruges and Belgium and the relationship with beers. Additionally, we provide our guests with a small platter of appetizers that are related to beer (beer paté, abbey cheese, bread...) Because of the location you might imagine yourself in a medieval beer cellar !
Since 1995 we are the hosts of the 'De Drie Koningen': 6 holiday flats located in the historic center. For 20 years we offer an 'honesty bar' with more than 60 different beers to our guests. That is why we are happy to help our guests to explore and understand the Belgian beer styles, brewing processes and different tastes and flavours. Lucky for us that during renovation work, 'De Drie Koningen' appeared to be from the 14th century and a huge medieval cellar emerged out of the ground. This has become now the perfect setting to share our passion for beer in a beer tasting with guests who are looking for a unique experience in Bruges. Ann & Nico

Where you'll be
Our unique cellar 'Vergulde Fontein' built around 1370 is the perfect setting to get to know Bruges better and the beer brewing process. It helps you understand how people lived and built in the 14th century and why this cellar was perfect to keep barrels. There isn't a better setting to introduce visitors to our beer culture.
