What you'll do

We'll travel by bike from the city to the Mountains “Longjing Tea Plantation”, on our way we will stop at Leifeng pagoda and a temple with centuries of Chinese history. We then pedal along West Lake, one of the most beautiful lake in China. Our next stop would be the tea fields but before we get there we will see stunning gardens, bridges, hills and Local farmer’s home.
Once we get to Longjing we will see how the famed Longjing tea is cultivated. We can also try a cup of newly harvested tea. Heading back to the city we will finish our bike trip at Qinghefang Ancient Street and get a taste of local culture and food.

I'm a passionate person for cycling and traveling, 5 years ago arrived in Hangzhou (China) with “La Poderosa” (how I call my Bike) to continue traveling and exploring Asia. The magic of Hangzhou, its beauty in every season, the people and culture changed my life and made me stay to live here. During this time, I have been discovering new and hidden places. Therefor, I would like to introduce this amazing city and it’s secret places to all travelers.
So let’s go and join this adventure!

Excellent bike ride with Diego. We got to see some great sights and soak in the country side. Diego was a great host. There are some challenging hills with the ride but the end result to the tea plantation was well worth it.

A wonderful morning bike ride- you get to see some sights that would be difficult to get to by yourself. There was a nice variety/mix of stops along the way, and Diego was very personable and accommodating. Overall a lovely trip, I would recommend.

A challenging but rewarding day seeing Hangzhou by bike. There is a lot to see in Hangzhou, and being able to quickly see highlights of the West Lake along with the amazing tea plantations hidden in the mountains, it was a physically rewarding and culture filled day. Diego was a great host, informative, helpful, and fun to hang out with. Skip the crowded buses and lines, get on a bike, and make the most of the city.

Last weekend I joined the biking trip of Diego. As a Dutch girl I’m used to ride a bycicle, but not really used to biking, so first I was doubting a bit if I would sign up. In the end I took the chance and Diego took very good care of my biking level. It was a very fun trip and I’m very happy that I took the chance to join this experience! I was amazed by the many beautiful places that we visited and I loved to hear his stories about Hangzhou. My favorite place that we visited, were the tea fields! What an amazing view!😍 Personally I always think that you can only have a real feeling about a place, when you discover it with an insider and this was definitely the case. Thank you again Diego and take care in Hangzhou!

This was a really wonderful tour !! Not only was Diego a great host and tour guide, we visited many more places on bikes in the time we had than we ever could have either by walking or by car (n.b., the vehicle traffic was pretty congested). We visited the West Lake, the site of the first tea house in China, a pagoda overlooking the West Lake, the Long Jing tea fields, an open air market, etc. Furthermore, not only does Diego speak Chinese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese fluently, he was knowledgeable about the history of each place we visited and was full of recommendations ranging from restaurants to other places of interest we might want to see on our own. The tour did include a 1.7 km fairly steep hill, but some of us simply got off of our bikes and walked that part. Again, this not only was was a fun tour, it was a great way to see the nicest parts of Hangzhou in a relatively short amount of time and Diego was simply great. We loved this tour !!!
