What you'll do
Jump on board a salvaged 'mamachari' bicycle and join me on an ALL INCLUSIVE cycling, walking and food jaunt in my hometown, West Tokyo.
Delve into the eclectic local neighbourhoods of Nakano, Koenji and Asagaya as we pedal to the rhythm of everyday life on this all-season, all-weather Tokyo cycling tour.
With the insider knowledge of a seasoned local, nothing's off limits as we discover the urban landscapes, offbeat attractions and enticing cuisine that gives these culturally rich enclaves their distinctive character.
Test your cycling dexterity as we ride the twisting backstreets, learn about the intricacies of neighbourhood life, enjoy a tailored selection of Japanese street food eats, experience first-hand Tokyo's unique cycling culture and jostle for counter space with hungry ‘salarymen’ as we refuel for lunch.
The possibilities are endless as we set off to ride a captivating side of Tokyo on our sometimes creaky, sometimes squeaky but always immaculately maintained ‘mamachari’ bikes.
* For dates and times not published or for private and family Tokyo bike tours, feel free to say hello and I'll do my best to accommodate your requirements. *

Andy was an amazing and incredibly personable guide! Despite being the only one to sign up for the tour (and being a less than stellar on a bicycle), Andy was patient and took me around a well curated route that K dont believe I could've located on my own. The tour was extremely safe and was time very well spent to get a peek of a "normal" tokyo life outside of the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku/Shibuya. I would 100% recommend this tour!

Great experience bike riding in an area of Tokyo that you may not normally go to on your own. I was also able to sample different foods that I may not have tried or been aware of otherwise. The area that we toured was (for lack of better words) was more suburban and less big city (in my opinion) which I though was great! Andy was able to share a lot about the culture and had great insights. I would recommend doing this experience to anyone that enjoys riding bikes.
Be on time! I was perfectly on-time and then we waited 15 minutes for another couple that we ultimately left behind in effort to stick to the schedule. It really worked out for me because it was then just Andy and I and then we were able to cover more ground with a smaller group but felt bad for the situation of having to leave others behind.
