Hi, my name is Kazui. I am a Japanese licensed tour guide and volunteer Japanese language teacher. I love all stage arts, have particularly enjoyed Kabuki since the age of 5 and have been providing Kabuki tours since 2010. Kabuki is registered as intangible cultural heritage and rarely performed outside Tokyo. Staring only male actors, it has over 400 years of history. I believe that with the help of some essential information about the art itself and the plays in performance, Kabuki becomes even more understandable and enjoyable. My “About Kabuki” talk and visual presentation will give you a great overview and additional insight you will be unable to get from the subtitle devices, allowing you to much better understand and enjoy the performances. Please allow me to help you get the very best out of Kabuki!
