Amazing tour! I learned so much. I live in New York but even with what I know couldn’t compare to everything I’ve learned. I’ve recommend this tour if you want to intimately understand queerness in the West Village and explore this beautiful neighborhood from a different perspective. Place, distance, breaks, and content were all amazing from my end. It wasn’t a long walk, we took a break, and the content was great.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience walking through the West Village with Jillian. She is an expert in the area and the history of queer female writers in New York City. It is rare to find tours highlighting the experience and contribution of LGBTQIA+ individuals, even more so when they are women and/or people of color. Jillian carefully curated diverse and accurate individuals and information to share, which was exceptionally unique. Jillian also made efforts to get to know me and what I was specifically interested in, so I felt like I was leaving the tour not just with information, but also a new friend. Would highly recommend this tour, or any other tours Jillian facilitates!

I can't recommend this tour enough! Jillian’s storytelling is exceptional. She doesn't just narrate dates and events; she brings the history alive with rich anecdotes and fun visual aids as she applies each story to a broader queer historical context. Delish! Jillian’s extensive knowledge of queer figures and events and Greenwich is just incredible- you can tell it's such a passion area for her which is infectious- and I can tell why. I feel very grateful I now have a much deeper knowledge of the incredible queer women 'before Stonewall' (and the best place for pizza in Greenwich!). Jillian is really warm and friendly. I felt comfy to ask any questions or go on tangents and she was easily able to tailor the experience, without taking away from the broader, very well organised, itinerary. If you like ANY of: learning, history, human rights, women, humour, artists, LGBTQ+ stories, Greenwich... I highly recommend taking this tour!
