What you'll do
Hello and welcome to this master class dedicated to global economics and financial markets. Usually neglected or poorly understood by many of us, this is an introduction to the dynamics that regulate governments, central banks, companies and families, including the economic drivers and therefore our work and day-to-day life. Do you want to understand more about economic growth? Or what is impacting the economic activity in Spain, Europe, the US or emerging markets? Wondering what is inflation and why should we care? What is happening with global trade and tensions between US and China? Are governments issuing too much debt? We will meet up in Lavinia, an elegant wine shop in the Salamanca area, and stop by their wine bar to start our chat with a glass of wine. I will ask for questions first and then plan to provide an economic and market outlook spanning from economic growth in developed and emerging markets to inflation and labour markets, trade, central banks, market valuations on fixed income and equity assets. The master class aims to help students, managers, business professionals, investment experts or simply curious individuals with no previous investment experience.
Hello, I am the founder of a start-up focusing on simplifying global economics and financial markets, and the investment director for a major global investment company. I have over 12 years of experience in financial markets and corporate finance and I have been working in four different continents to date. I have been the manager of a team of investment specialists covering some of the biggest investment funds in the world. Please notice that I am here just to share my personal opinion and point of view on public market data, and there will be no investment advice during the experience
One glass of wine (or a wine budget up to EUR 9) is included in the experience. It helps to have a good conversation!
