What you'll do
We will start off with a welcome drink (Amarula) which is a deliciously creamy traditional African Liqueur served by an African lady dressed in traditional clothes. Snacks will be on the tables (biltong and droewors) which is cured beef or wild game meat. Guest will be seated and there will be a small intro and info to the traditional food that will be served. Guests will be shown how "sakkie sakkie" dancing is done to Afrikaans music. Guests will also see how a "braai" is made with boerewors and chops.Guests are welcome to join in this braai experience. There will also be potjiekos ( food made in an iron cast pot) that will be made from game meat . This will be served with pap( maize meal) We will end off with koeksisters and traditional malva pudding for dessert.
I love cooking and entertaining people. I often have groups of people over at my place for "boere kos" , which is traditional Afrikaans cuisine. I also baked pies for a deli in a small town in the Freestate. People loved the pies that I baked and i had an order of 300 pies per week. All handmade and baked by myself.
