What you'll do
From our meeting point, the free shuttle will bring you to my home. Here we enjoy some fine organic matcha and a local treat from the tatami room overlooking the tea fields . Feeling good from the matcha we start our walkabout. Surreally beautiful tea fields, historical sites, local architecture, and mountain streams all await us. I will be explaining all things tea and nature, as we stroll through the tea fields and forest on public and private paths. After the walkabout the free shuttle will return you to the pickup spot and from there you are free to roam the town and visit some recommended local tea shops/cafes at your leisure.
This is a short version of my other experience that over 160 people have rated 5 stars. But, I don't always have time for the 4hr tour and have added this experience which, I think will be great for those on time restrictions as well.

Where you'll be
The center of Wazuka is our destination, the prime tea growing area of Uji. Close to Kyoto and Osaka via Japan Rail (JR).
From the Tea Zion House, located in the heart of Wazuka, we enter the vibrant tea fields and forests.
Relax in an authentic Misawa built Japanese home, before the hike while enjoying organic matcha and wagashi with the fabulous views from the tea room. Come see the daily life of Wazuka up close and personal.

Guests of all ages can attend. Some short but steep inclines, comfortable walking shoes recommended, hiking sticks are provided to guests for extra safety.
