What you'll do

Mexico City's art scene is at an all-time high when it comes to buzz and creativity. Away from the crowds, you’ll visit some of the top contemporary art shows during a walk around the noble, bohemian and funky Colonia Roma.

The event is hosted by Artie, author, passionate art promoter and the founder of Almanaque. We’ll enjoy an exclusive viewing of relevant and fascinating contemporary galleries, and have the opportunity to enjoy genuine and fun conversations with this relaxed Mexico City true connoisseur, curator and arts scene veteran.

You'll laugh and enjoy vibrant discussions about why Mexico was considered the epitome of surrealism.

A must-do for anyone who cares about the art scene in Mexico City. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Artie. He took time to answer our questions and is an excellent conversationalist. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Artie is an insider in the arts and galleries scenes in Mexico City and his expertise shines through in the experience. He was able to customize a tour listing four galleries, which included meeting three artists and seeing an exhibition that was not yet opened to the public. Also, Artie invited me to his gallery's opening reception the following weekend. If you are interested in learning about the arts in Mexico City, definitely book this gallery tour with Artie. Since I came to Mexico City for research on my master's thesis on contemporary Mexican art, Artie was an amazing guide and shared so many helpful insights with me. Don't miss out and book your experience with Artie!

Most of my favorite galleries were in between shows during my visit, but Artie was able to get us in during install. And it was fun to talk art with him and compare notes on the art we saw, and trends in the artworld in general.

Arti was a great host. Even though it was Art Fair week (and most galleries were closed), he managed to use his connections to get us into several galleries for private viewings of installations, paintings, and sculpture. Arti is very knowledgeable about the art scene in CDMX, and was able to make the art accessible to a lay audience. After the tour, he gave us plenty of recommendations for the best contemporary art museums to visit. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Very knowledgeable and friendly! Knows all the local galleries and owners -- we even got to see an exhibit being installed that was opening the next day.
