What you'll do

We will discover the best spots in the Hassan Tower that can make the best pictures of your trip. The meeting point will be « Rabat Ville »  tramway station, we will take the tramway until « Hassan » station, from there, we will head to the tower and make the best pictures in very different spots. The red sandstone tower makes a great contrast with the blue sky, and all handmade details make the photos unique and recognizable. In 1195, the tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world along with the mosque, also intended to be the world's largest. But in 1199, when Al Mansur died (Who was the third Caliph of the Almohad Caliphate) all construction works stopped, today the tower is 44m (140ft), about half of the intended height: 86m (260ft). After we finish shooting in the Tower, we will go to «Farah » hotel which has one of the greatest views on Rabat/Salé, we can take more photos there and maybe grab a cup of tea or coffee to end our journey. From there, we will go back to « Rabat Ville » station by Tramway.

My name is Bakir, I am a photographer from Rabat and I am fascinated by how a picture can catch the story, the personality and the emotions of a person through one portrait, you can check my work in catching different portraits on my instagram @bakir.co or my website : www.bakir.co Born and raised in Rabat, a historical capital with multiple dynasties influences, with an authentic modern architecture, and with a melting pot of citizens and expats from all corners of the world, I want to share my personal love for the city, and invite you to see it through the eyes of a native photographer.
