What you'll do
You'll first meet my nephew at the entrance to the National Park, mount his horses (don't worry - his horses are the best in the valley, he treats them like family and will show you what to do), and ride through the scenic Valley Palmarito for half an hour to reach my tobacco farm. We'll spend some time here; we'll show you around the crops and meet our animals, before heading inside the drying barn where you'll be shown how we roll the world famous cigars and how to smoke them - naturally with a swig or two of rum for the full Cuban authenticity!
In this farm we'll also try a fresh honey & coffee that we process here in Viñales, and the best - try the local rum that is made especially here in the region of Pinar. We invite you to taste them all (but don't get too full, there's food to come!)
As promised, an al-fresco farm-to-fork meal will be served. Any dietary requirements can be catered for, and an array of fresh juices, coconuts and cocktails can be purchased if you wish.
After this, it’s time to hop back on your horse again to visit a breathtaking viewpoint lake OR cave (PLEASE NOTE: this activity is weather dependent & will be decided by the guide on the day of your experience). Bring swimwear just in case!
Finally, we’ll ride our noble steeds to where we started, enjoying the endless views and interesting routes. Here we say goodbye and wish you farewell!

I'm Juan Carlos, part of the family of Las Mirandas, a well-known farming family who has worked for many generations in the tobacco process. When I was 18 I started my own tobacco farm and over the years, it has grown and developed. My family and I run the farm land together, and we all have a strong part to play. Whether cooking lunch for the 'campesinos' as they work in the fields, ploughing the crops with our oxen, caring for the horses, or growing & processing the fresh tobacco and cigars to sell to the government, we proudly run a family affair and invite you in for a visit!

Where you'll be
It's a family affair! Once my nephew has met you, you will visit my private tobacco farm within the national park of Viñales, in Valley Palmarito. Here we’ll spend time seeing how a cigar is made, how we work with the Cuban government to sell them, try a local honey, rum & coffee and enjoy a farm-to-fork meal.
