I have been a back-yard beekeeper for three years now. I started doing it with a friend as a slight joke over beers at a poker game, but after getting the first hive it quickly became an obsession. Last year I succesfully doubled the number of hives I kept, and was able to capture some swarms in the wild. I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Brian was great! We really enjoyed the hour with him and the honeybees. Brian was very knowledgeable and the area was beautiful and in full bloom. Watching and learning about how he takes care of his bees and finding the queen was mesmerizing. I would highly recommend if you are interested in learning about beekeeping or curious about the process. One piece of advice before you go, try to wear muted color clothing!

Brian was super knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to show us every part of the hive including the queen! Brian answered every question we had, and was even patient with helping me see bee eggs when I was struggling. I would highly recommend this to anyone local or visiting who is interested in beekeeping, or just is fascinated by bees. I peppered Brian with questions geared towards beekeeping and the lives of bees, but I am confident he could speak at length about any bee related questions you might have!

If you’re looking for something unique to do on a trip than this is for you. You get to get up close and personal with bees, taste honey directly from the hive, and even handle the hives if you like. Highly recommended!
