Where you'll be

Yelapa Town is one of the oldest and most preserved parts of Mexico in the Bay of Banderas. There is a hidden waterfall at the top of the mountain that can be large and booming during the rainy season. Behind the fishing village is a long jungle trail that is best if experienced by horseback, and ends in Yelapa's widest waterfall. Enjoy whale watching and dolphins on the boat ride home.

This is the third trip my husband and I have taken to Puerto Vallarta. We have been on several excursions but I have to say the trip to Yelapa was one of the best. The goal for our trip this time around was to only participate in small groups and we really lucked out with Kim. We were her ONLY clients! Initially, I felt bad because it is hardly cost effective to have only two people booked, however when I said as much to Kim, she responded saying the smaller groups were her preference. We never felt pressured to move on when we wanted to spend additional time at any one spot. She was perfectly content to hang out with us. My husband summed our day up perfectly stating “It felt like we hung out with a good friend!” Thanks for a great day, Kim, you rock!

Dez was a great guide. On time, very friendly and knowledgeable on local culture. Was a pleasure to be around as well as her new trainee Nathan, a fun, happy guy with a passion to help others enjoy the experience!

Kim was a great host and made us feel well cared for and gave thoughtful insights about navigating the local culture and geography. I would highly recommend this tour to Yelapa for the intimacy and knowledge base, as well as developing a new friendship. The scenery is of course incredible, and the local people are warm and friendly. Don’t skip out on the juice bar or a quick sip of Raicilla on your way up!

This experience was a highlight of our trip! Kim was so personable, and made us feel like close friends. The waterfall hike was beautiful and refreshing. (we also recommend the margs!) Lunch at the end was a perfect ending to a great day. Can’t recommend this enough!

Went with Angel on a very small group tour. Super chill and laid back and visiting Yelapa was probably my favorite part of my trip to PV. Such an amazing place and community and I only wish I had planned more time there! The water taxi was fun and Angel definitely added to the overall experience of enjoying Yelapa.

Nice well planned day trip to Yelapa. Dez is a great guide and provided insight to the local culture. Her knowledge of the area is extensive even though she has only been living in PV for a short time. She has a special attention to detail to make her guests feel welcomed and well taken care of during the entire excursion. Would definitely book another trip with her on our next visit to PV.
