What you'll do

First we talk a bit about music theory and explain the timing behind the style.
Then we warm up with open steps so that people get more familiar with their own movement.
After, we explain step by step some basic turns.
We wrap up the lesson with partner work.

Throughout the whole experience we're demonstrating and helping individuals and partners.
Other things to note
Come with your dancing shoes ready! Any shoe with a back to it will work just fine, tennis shoes are especially great!
See you on the dance floor!

Isabel- In Puerto Viejo I've been teaching salsa and bachata for a little over a year. I was dance captain of a nationally competing showchoir. I've been dancing Latin rhythms for seven years now throughout Europe, U. S., and Costa Rica.
Camilo- I owed and ran a dance academy in San Jose for two years. I teach Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cumbia (Swing Criollo), Bolero Clasico, y Bolero de Salon and I have been dancing Latin rhythms for eight years. I studied at academies: Son Latinos, Blue Dance, and Corado.
We've participated in Salsa Congresses and learned from world-renowned instructors.

We do the majority of our classes in the center of town. The hostel is called Hotel Puerto Viejo and very easy to find. Beautiful place with lots of plants and green life.

This was the perfect introduction to Salsa and Bachata dancing! Hannah creates a welcoming and fun learning environment that results in a super memorable experience that I recommend to everyone visiting Costa Rica. It was my parents first time dancing like this and they talked about how fun it was the rest of our trip!

I went to the class by myself and ended up being the 5th person, so I got to dance with instructor Camillo! Hannah and Camillo both were very friendly, welcoming and made learning bachata and salsa simple and fun. Take the class, you’ll love it!

הגענו בלי ניסיון בכלל, וקיבלנו כלים מעולים לרקוד, וגם מאוד נהנינו מהאנרגיות של קמילו וחנה, והרגשנו מאוד בנוח לרקוד ! היה ממש ממש כיף
