What you'll do

Have you ever wondered how mosaic murals are made? This is your chance to co-create a public art project out of glass tile mosaics. Our instructors will introduce you to the exciting and ancient craft of glass tile mosaics. Please arrive 15 - 30 mins before class so we can discuss the basics of mosaic art. By the time your class is completed, you will have enough experience to create your own mosaic project at home or in your own community. All materials are included. During the 2 hr class you will receive one-on-one instruction where you will learn about the exciting characteristics and techniques of mosaics while helping create an actual mosaic mural for a local community. Depending on what stage of the development that the mural project is underway when you come to our workshop you may help start the mural or finish it. In either case, we will keep you informed of when the mural is installed in its final resting place. We will send you a photo of the final work and you will also be invited to the mural dedication in the case you are available to attend. Instruction is available in English and by arrangement, in Spanish.
