What you'll do
The tour is a slice of Budapest off the beaten track: flavors, feelings, interesting and not broadly known facts and news about my hometown.
I can pick you up at your Airbnb (in case of a private tour) or let's meet in the center, then discover downtown Pest together!
Includes a 4-hour long walking-tour in the heart of the city, with typical Hungarian street food called “langosh” (or a delicious pastry called "kürtőskalács" in case that Main Market Hall is closed), public transport tickets
+ a small surprise for each of my guests :)
DISCOUNT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12YEARS!
GRATIS FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3YEARS!
We can finish the tour anywhere in the downtown where I can give you more must-to-do tips about the city!
Don’t forget your comfy sneakers – let’s start the experience!

BudapEster - Walk with me! Street food snack lunch and culture in Budapest
I am a qualified English guide and a real "Budapester" as I was born and grew up in the City :) Let me show you the best of the city and the most interesting sights around!
I like travelling and learning about new cultures and meeting with people also hosting my friends and visitors in my home.
I have a labrador and we go hiking together a lot.
I am also interested in Hungarian and foreign cuisines, sports (slackline, triathlon) and partying from time to time :)

Our walking tour with Eszter was amazing! We were running behind because of our baby, but we got there and Eszter was more than accommodating with our stroller and child. I felt our tour was personalized and didn’t feel like tourist at all. We learned a lot we didn’t know about the Pest side and would go on another tour with Eszter to the Buda side if we had the time.

This tour is a fairly basic tour of the city. Eszter is a local and has a good knowledge of the city and it’s basic history but didn’t really tell us much detail about the many buildings and areas we visited on the tour. I would have expected a more detailed account of the historical figures from the area rather than the feeling of just being shown to a building or place of interest
It absolutely wasn’t entirely unenjoyable and Eszter is lovely and friendly, I just felt like it wasn’t particularly good value for money or anything I couldn’t have found my way around myself with just a little research
The biggest problem I had with this tour is that it is clearly described as ‘including lunch’. The local delicacy of ‘Langosh’ is mentioned but this was not provided all we actually had was a €3 pastry which we had to queue for 15 minutes for. It’s a four hour tour. I would have expected to maybe sit and to be provided with actual ‘lunch’ and with at least one drink
As it was, we had to stop at a supermarket to buy drinks. Whatever you do, take a drink with you to stay hydrated, especially in the summer months
At half the price, I would have felt like I had value but the description needs to change. You do not get ‘lunch’ on this tour
Four stars is a little generous but then we did have a good time despite the above. Budapest is a really beautiful city with amazing architecture and a vibrant feel about it. This tour was for ‘Pest’ but don’t miss out on ‘Buda’! Buda Castle and the Funicular Railway are totally beautiful and a €12 cruise along the Danube (with drinks) is not to be missed!

I was the only one on the tour, and it was a good experience. Ester was engaging and shared many tidbits about Budapest. We also used different modes of public transportation, which was super helpful to me for orientating around the City. She also shared many tips on what to do during my stay and the special treat at the end was delicious!
