What you'll do

Ancestral connection inside the forest, without having to leave São Paulo or go to Amazonas.
Travel by car in a relaxed way, speaking and practicing Italian-English-Spanish or Portuguese, with a intercultural guide that loves the natives culture and that will help you to enjoy and make the most of the experience.

Through the ancestral connection and depending from the main interests of the group we will have the opportunity to:

1) experience and feel strongly the contact with the Guarani culture
2) talk to tribal leaders and break paradigms
3) take a walk through the village, knowing the plantations and ancestral knowledge related to agriculture and food
4) connect with thematic and sustainability projects
5) know Guarani indigenous music and learn about the language.
6) know the history and problematic issues and the struggle of the Guarani people
7) admire indigenous art and handicrafts
8) meditate feeling the energy of the Atlantic forest and the strength of intimate contact with nature
9) give extreme value to the simplest and most fundamental things, such as water.
10) eat together in the village tasting the guarani gastronomy (experiences of Sunday) or in a typical brasilian restaurant (week experiences)
11) Admire amazing natural views, discovering a green & natural side of São Paulo
In case you wanted to change the date or the starting time of the experience, please talk to me and I´ll try to attend to your needs.
Other things to note
This experience has several itineraries and not only 1 fixed itinerary and fixed time, in this way it flows naturally always in a different way with no fix plans. Bookings with only 1 person, depending on the day could be canceled. If so, you may choose to exchange with other original experiences that I organize in various places in São Paulo or outside of São Paulo.

Where you'll be

During Sunday experiences we will be in environmental preservation area of APA Colonia Bororé and Apa Capivari Monos, in the extreme south of São Paulo, zone of Atlântic rain forest. In addition we will have possibilities to know the surrounding region which also has got a crater of about of 20 million years.
We don´t visit always the same village.. and any village has got different caracteristics and which inables a different experience .
If the Guarani Tribe Experience will occur during week days or if it will partecipate less then 3 people, we will be visiting closer villages located close to the Jaragua mountain . In this case we will have the chance to visit the highest spot of the city of Sâo Paulo with a stunning view and the possibility (in case you like ) to make a trecking in the rain forrest located inside the Jaragua State Park .

Very Unique Experience of Indigenous Culture. Very happy I chose to go in this with Rocco. Rocco is both invested and knowledgeable of the Guarani people and his passion shows during this guided experience. Would Recommend!

Rocco is an amazing host and really shows how much love he has for his adopted city (São Paulo) and country (Brazil). He's very enthusiastic about history, art, culture, languages and everything about this spectacular and many times misunderstood land. Getting meet real Guaraní people who live in the forests north of São Paulo was something that I could not have imagined I would have been able to do in a million years! My love for São Paulo (and Brazil) has been made stronger because of this excursion. Aguyje Rocco!

The trip with Rocco was the highlight of my stay in Sao Paulo. It was wonderful to get out of the concrete jungle into the real jungle. Rocco visits different villages on each trip, so each excursion is unique. However, one consistency is Rocco's ability to make all guest feel welcome. He did a wonderful job of translating all information and discussions so that all guests felt part of the group. Rocco also did a great job talking to different members of the group during the day. Rocco showed great hospitality in offering drinks and snacks during the excursion too. Visiting the urban villages was a unique experience, one that I could not have organised on my own. I particularly enjoyed interacting with the Guarani family that spent the day with us, and sharing a traditional meal with them. The trip was an excellent way to feel like you experience the 'Real Brazil' without venturing too far away from the city.

If you are looking for some special, unique and local experience in Sao Paulo, you should definitely join this tour. It is the best opportunity to know about new aspect of Sao Paulo. Rocco is an amazing professional tour guide. His friendly, kind, and caring personality, I enjoyed the tour from the beginning to the end. He is very knowledgeable about the places and constuct a relationship of trust with the peoples. Visit to the village is the highlight for me. I learned a lot by meeting people there and hearing about their lives. I enjoyed communicating with people there, thanks to his perfect translation.

Rocco is an excellent tour guide. He was very friendly, told us a lot of information about everything we saw, took time to show us unique things and explain things about the indigenous culture. He even bought us snacks and drinks. I will definitely call him again for another tour and even to just meet up as friends next time I'm in SP!
