What you'll do

We will meet for coffee at Bean Dreaming coffee shop in Muizenberg at 8h30, alternatively you will be collected from your residence. You will be given an introduction to the evironmental issues facing Cape Town, as well as the challenge of managing a "fenceles" National Park with over 2400 species surrounded by a rapidly growing city.

We will aim to start our walk at 9am at one of 4 access points which will be determined by fitness levels and weather conditions:
1. Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve
2. Table Mountain via Nursery ravine
3. St James - Kalk Bay precinct
4. Kirstenbosch - Newlands forest

The aim of the walk from the start, is to relax, open all your senses and experience the magic of the plants and all living things that support them. We will touch, smell, taste, and discuss the medicinal and culinary uses of the plants, while enjoying rock sculptures, forests and majestic views. Botanical and common names and descriptions of plants will be part of the experience, love the diversity . We will also talk about the weather that carves and shapes life and brings Cape Town's precious rain.

This walking experience is for those who like to feel, learn, and love the journey.

Refreshments served at 10h30 am and lunch at 12h30. Expect to be back in town at 4pm, with the option of unwinding at one of the classic coffee shops that are so fine and abundant in Cape Town.
Other things to note
The sun intensity and UV levels in Cape Town are fairly harsh, please take adequate precautions and bring sun tan cream, protective gear, strong shoes and water.
