What you'll do
Meet me at my local coffee shop and we'll devise a plan to get the fun started. From here we'll jump in our super spacious 14 seater minivan & head to wherever the waves are best for your skill level & style.
We'll trade waves and work on techniques like equipment fine tuning, reading the waves, taking off, positioning, turns, and maybe even some barrels & airs.
Join me to share some laughs and the best waves Byron has to offer!

I'm Matt Wilkinson & I've enjoyed 9 years of bringing fun and colour to WSL Championship Tour, with 3 WT event wins and top 5 in the world finishes in both 2016 and 2017.
I'm a 30 year-old Australian goofy footer who grew up in the small town of Copacabana, New South Wales. For years as a child, my father and I lived in the local Surf Life Saving Club and wandered the coast in our old van. I know every nook and corner of this coastline, so I know where to head in every condition.
In between World Tour events, I love coming home to Byron and scoring its points and world class beach breaks.

Byron Bay is a surfer's dream, located an hour south of the Gold Coast. Byron has a wide variety of beaches facing different directions, so in condition we can escape the crowds and find some of the best point and beach breaks this beautiful area has to offer.
